2007 CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT, CHARLESTON, WV
Handlan Chapter - Brooks Bird Club
For all participants in the Kanawha-Charleston CBC, the weather appeared to have reduced the overall activity of birds throughout the day. Despite this, the participants observed a total of 65 species, with new maximum counts for Black Vultures, Ring-billed Gulls and Crows. The Peregrine Falcon first observed last year has remained resident in downtown Charleston and Alice Knight located it again this year.
