The Kingfishers were all upset by us interrupting them along their creek.

The Bloodroot is blooming!
The forest floor is carpeted with Spring Beauties.
We observed blooming Hepatica in colors ranging from white to pink to deep purple.
We saw blooming Bluebells,
Coltsfoot,
Dutchmam's Breeches
Bluets

We also saw Chickweed, Wood Anemone, and  Cut Leaf Toothwort.  Golden Ragwort is just starting to bloom. But then we just got out of the forest before the hail storm.

In addition to what we had seen earlier, some of the Trout Lily is in bloom.         

  And the Violets are just starting to bloom.  We saw lots of blue violets and one yellow.

There is now lots of Cut Leaf Toothwort.  The Golden Ragwort is still not quite blooming.

There are now lots of  Violets.   

There is Greek Valerian everywhere

 

The Golden Ragwort is blooming.  
The Wild Ginger is also in bloom.

In addition to everything above, there lots of Trillium,
Kidney-leafed Buttercup,  
Small-flowered Buttercup
Blue Cohosh
 Jack in the Pulpit,
Fire Pink

 Wild Geraniums,

 

Foam Flowers,

 False Solomon's Seal

 

Bellwort

 

The birds are active We saw a few Warblers - mainly Black and White,
 and Northern Parula.

We saw May Apple in bloom

Wood Poppy were everywhere
