The Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club will begin our fall schedule
of regular meetings with our Annual Ice Cream Social at Coonskin Park on
Monday, September 20, 2010, at 6:30 PM. For those who have been to our
Coonskin events in recent years, we will be meeting in the same place. For
those who have not been to Coonskin with us, here are some basic
directions:
 
After you enter Coonskin Park, the park road drops down and then rises
again abruptly. As you near the crest of this rise, a road branches off to the right between some stone pillars. Take this right turn and go all the
way to the top of the hill. The road winds around the ridge and then
becomes a one-way loop. Follow this loop until you see a large, gravel
parking area on the right. Park on the left side of this lot and you
should see us in the shelter immediately in front of you.

Ice Cream and beverages will be provided. Just bring yourselves and
reports of your summer bird sightings.
