HANDLAN NEWSLETTER

November 2009

The November meeting of the Handlan Chapter of the Brooks Bird Club will be this coming Monday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the South Charleston Public Library.  There will be an Executive Committee meeting at 6:00. 
 
The program will be presented by Rob Tallman, who is the state ornithologist for WV.  Rob works for DNR and is based in Elkins.  Among other things, Rob will talk about the multi-year effort that started this year to update the Breeding Bird Atlas of WV.  As part of his talk, he will explain how interested individuals and organizations can participate in this ambitious and worthwhile project.
