Wildflowers (Fall Flora)

Margaret Denison Fall Nature Walks, September 11, 2010

 –  Walk led by Mark Watson -

This walk started at the road up Shrewsberry Hollow and returning on the Snipe Trail. The weather was wonderful.

The group consisted of 2 guides and only 3 other participants, but what was lacking in numbers was more than made up for in interest and enthusiasm.

Thanks to Mark’s expert guidance we identified 82 species or varieties of flora. Of course most of these were not now flowering. A partial list of the flora identified is tabulated below. Most of the trees were ignored.

With all this, we still got back in time to partake of great food for lunch.
